WHAT DOES A CONSULTATION INVOLVE? Sometimes certain images do not translate well as a tattoo so the artist will adjust as necessary. Not really sure what you're thinking of or what's possible? No worries, all these things can be worked through during your consultation.

DO YOU ACCEPT MINORS WITH PARENT OR GUARDIAN CONSENT? Unfortunately no, in the District of Columbia you need to be at least 18 years of age to be tattooed, no exceptions.

TATTOO FAQ’s

ARE TATTOOS SAFE? For the most part yes, but if you have allergies, especially to metals or dyes, please consult your physician first. You can also schedule a patch test prior to your scheduled appointment. Patch tests involve making a tiny, easily covered dot or line and letting it heal to be sure your skin reacts well. Aftercare is also important in this process to avoid infections or other issues during the healing process. It is imperative you follow a strict aftercare regimen.  There are situations that occur within the human body that are out of our control so it is important that you do your research and understand the risks involved prior to your service.

DOES GETTING A TATTOO HURT? Yes it does with certain parts of the body being more sensitive than others. Pain tolerance is also a factor when getting tattooed as that will vary person to person.

WHAT ABOUT NUMBING? We will have numbing creams available for clients concerned about pain levels, this will not make the tattoo painless but it will help ease some of the discomfort. Please notify your artist if you are interested in using numbing creams and arrive 20 mins early for your scheduled appointment time to begin the numbing process.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET A TATTOO? Pricing depends on the artist, size, design, and estimated duration of the tattoo appointment.  Each artist has their own minimum rate for smaller pieces. You are always welcome to set up a consultation with your preferred artist and go over every detail, including your budget.

CAN YOU FIX MY OLD TATTOO? Within reason as long as it's workable. For a coverup consultations are a must. We may also recommend some type of removal sessions if the tattoo is too large or too saturated. We never want to execute a cover up that will leave a less than desirable result.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY TATTOO SESSION? Consider the placement of the tattoo and make sure your clothes are both comfortable and give the artist easy access to the area of the body they will be working on.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL? The average tattoo typically heals on the surface within 2 weeks but will take several for deeper healing.
